It’s Going to be a Baby Girl!
Over spring break, Britain and I found out we’d be having a little girl. We are very excited! It’s such an amazing feeling to see the little person through the Ultra Sound.
After that, we started planning what we were going to buy. All along we planned on getting gender neutral “big items” like the car seat, crib, and the likes. We spent a Saturday driving to an amazing sale at Burlington Coat Factory. They have their Baby Depot where lots of good baby stuff is sold. There is a line or pattern of Graco stuff that was ending. We saved hundreds on the whole deal. We got a car seat, swing, high chair, and stroller. They all match too! Its a small thing that I’m sure isn’t a big deal for those with numbers of kids but this is a small landmark in our lives that I’m enjoying. Being dirt poor isn’t as enjoyable but that's another story.
We met up with my folks and went to Babies“R” Us to shop around. They ended up buying a crib and changing table with a great deal. It’s themed with Disney’s Winnie the Pooh Bear. Cute as can be! Life is good and I’m looking forward to the coming months!

Our Trip Home – For Real
So here is an updated version of our itinerary home. Yeah, it doesn’t match the original plan. Unfortunately, we didn't plan well with Temple closings and such so we didn't hit a single temple…sad. We obviously stopped for gas and such…mostly at Sam’s Club and Wal-Mart. We got an automatic 5 cents off at Sam’s Club and 3 cents off if we paid with a Wal-Mart gift card. Generally both were the cheaper choice across the country.
Good news: it cost almost a quarter of what it cost to get there compared to this trip home! Hurray!
A: Our apartment in Florida
B: A hotel at about 1/4 of the way home
C: A hotel at about 1/2 of the way home
D: A hotel at about 3/4 of the way home
E: My family's house for the night (only 94 miles to go!)
F: Finally in Logan!
We got lost outside Birmingham, Alabama. Brought a whole new meaning to the term “redneck”.
We are glad to be home. It’s been good to see family. We love the mountains and miss how beautiful they are. While our bodies may have been in shock near the beginning, we actually have enjoyed the cold weather so far. Real snow was nice. We saw artificial snow at Disney World but that’s just not quite the same (amazing engineering feat, but that’s another story).
